What Truly Custom Means To Us
To achieve what we consider to be a truly custom bait not only in color, but physical structure we start from the beginning. The original master designs for our custom baits are hand carved by our senior bait designer himself. We feel that prototyping our baits in this fashion provides us with a true understanding of the bait as the design develops through multiple variations. It allows all original design work to be done in house giving us full control over the baits final design.
All of our baits utilize what we call the Direct Scent Advantage. Unlike baits that are soaked, infused or impregnated with scent the Direct Scent Advantage process allows us to increase or decrease the amount of scent used from the start; maintaining the desired level throughout the use of a bait. Traditional methods of scenting soft plastics lose their potency drastically once in contact with water. The advantage is extremely evident even after multiple uses with Zee Bait Co.

She is powered with twin Diesel Engines for safety and reliability. She also boasts a full compliment of electronics for finding those big Galveston fish.
Most of our Jetty (Inshore) Charters are aboard 27’ Key West Center Console, SeaPlay IV. She’s the perfect jetty boat offering 360 degree fishability that can be expected from Center Consoles. She features a large T-Top providing shade on those warm summer days, ample seating, and a large restroom located in the console that ladies are sure to appreciate.

Hello and thanks for your interest in Bass Fishing Source. My name is Raul Rodriguez. Like most reading this, fishing has always been one of my favorite things to do since I was a kid.
The best memories are those when I used to go out with my Grandpa and uncle to the local pond hoping to catch the “big one”.
By no means am I claiming to be a professional bass angler or to absolutely know all the ins and outs of this great past time but I have learned a lot in my search for the best ways to catch these fish and have some experiences that I feel others could draw upon to help them in their pursuit of the bass family.
In my attempt to learn more about bass fishing I sometimes felt overwhelmed with all the info that I was reading and trying to process.
I decided to start a site where those that are in search of learning some of the basics of bass fishing can find it in one place rather than jumping around from site to site trying to absorb the wealth of information that is available but is sometimes geared towards the more experienced, maybe full time angler.
My goal was to provide a means to identify the bass, provide some techniques to catch the bass you’re after, and some info on the most popular lures for these bass.

Trout Magnet
The unique 1/64oz shad dart head and split tail allows the lure to fall horizontally rather than vertically. Their entire food source flows down the stream with the current. This is why most jigs do not work for trout. The Trout Magnet, on the other hand, flows naturally with the stream. With constant 1″ to 3″ twitches of the rod tip, the lure looks life-like as it flows downstream. Most jigs would not respond to this type of rod tip motion. For first time users we recommend using colors pink, chartreuse, mealworm and white. The lure is 1 1/4 inches in length.
Crappie Magnet
The Crappie Magnet is slightly larger than the Trout Magnet at 1 1/2 inches in length, allowing you to fish in deeper water. Crappie prefer the look of a straight Crappie Magnet because it looks like their food source. The specially designed split-tail grub allows for a perfectly balanced lure. The most effective way to use this lure is dead-stick the Crappie Magnet at the proper depth. It will outfish other jigs using this method.

Packer Lake Lodge, in beautiful Tahoe National Forest, is an informal resort “at the end of the road” where the number of guests is limited. It is located in a remote corner of the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an elevation of 6218 feet nine miles northwest of Sierra City, California. It is a place of peace, natural beauty, outdoor recreation, fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, hunting, comfort and wonderful food.
Fly Fishing: The North Fork Yuba River from Sierra City downstream to Ladies Canyon Creek is a special regulation area. Signs designating this section are posted near the river Anglers may use only artificial lures or flies with single barbless hooks. A two-fish limit applies and fish must be at least ten inches long to be kept. Because of this special status and the fact that access is limited because of private property concerns this stretch of river is considered the best river fishing in Sierra County. Lake Fishing: Sierra County has numerous lakes within 15 minutes of our properties. Some like Lower Sardine, Salmon Lake, and Gold Lake are heavily stocked and can be fished by boat or by the shore. Others need to be hiked into and can only be fished from the shore. Young America Lake, in the shadow of the Sierra Buttes, is home to the California Golden Trout and is a hike not for the faint of heart, while others, like Lower Sardine and Packer Lake, are almost guaranteed to produce stocked rainbows and brook trout. In 1974 Porter Everett had a plan to bring a tournament series to Arkansas that would mimic the newly formed national tournament trail, “Bassmaster.” It was Porter’s desire to put into place a cutting edge series that would give the fishermen in Arkansas a platform to hone their competitive fishing skills so that one day they could make the jump to be ready and able to compete on the national pro level.
It worked very well. Through the past 42 years the Mr. Bass of Arkansas Tournaments has been able to keep that inspiration alive and not only have many fishermen gone on to compete, but several have become World Champions. Here are a few of examples of these fishermen.

Crappie USA was formed in 1996 to purchase “Crappiethon” from Johnson Worldwide Associates.
Purpose?
To establish and expand a family-oriented, cost effective and competitive arena for amateur and semi-pro crappie anglers as the foundation to promote and market products and services.
Why the Crappie Market?
Crappie/Panfish anglers are identified by the latest National Survey of Fishing by the Federal Fish and Wildlife agency as the largest freshwater fishing segment in America – 14.2 million. Representing 25% of the total freshwater market, these anglers spend an average of 27 days annually in pursuit of their favorite specie versus the next closest specie at 15 days.
