Ugly Sticks, medium action rods with Quantum Cabo reels powered with 65 lb. moss/green Power Pro braided line. Fisherman’s Choice Charters uses only the best Gamakatsu Hooks that boosts your success dramatically. Our Alaska Salmon Fishing leaders are 50 lb. test Chameleon or Ultra Green Maxima fishing line. When allowed by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, to use salmon eggs, our Alaska Salmon Fishing Guides near Anchorage, Alaska will set up your gear to float eggs using ESB bobbers, bouncing salmon eggs along the bottom of the river or back trolling the salmon eggs behind Jet Planers. Using salmon eggs cured with Double Red Pro Cure increases the success rate tremendously!

Also, one of our favorite lures to use is one of my favorites, the #6 Blue Fox Vibrax for catching the Alaska King Salmon. And never underestimate the success of using the Storm Wiggle Warts for the Alaska Salmon.
During the Alaska Silver Salmon Fishing season, close to Anchorage, Alaska we use 7 ft. light action Shakespeare Ugly Stick rods. Silver Salmon are very aggressive so you need to use a good fishing reel and we use Quantum Cabo 40’s with 30 lb. test moss-green Power Pro line. We also use #4 & #5 Blue Fox Vibrax with a silver blade and red body, salmon eggs floated under a ESB Bobber, when the Alaska Department of Fish & Game allows the use of bait and black and olive Dolly Liamas. Thank you for stopping by! My name is Capt. Stephen Andre’ and I own and operate Lake Texoma Striper Hunter Guide Service in Grayson County Texas on beautiful Lake Texoma. I specialize in lure fishing for Striped Bass (also known as Stripers) on Lake Texoma and will teach you how to as well….I grew up fishing artificial lures, so that’s the way I catch them! I caught my first fish at the age of 3 years and have been fishing ever since. I spent the first 8 years of my life in Louisiana fishing in the bays, backwaters, and Gulf of Mexico. My parents moved to Dallas in 1978 and I caught my first Sand Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass and Striper on Lake Ray Hubbard.
I DO NOT USE LIVE BAIT! I am a true to heart artificial lure fisherman and have been most of my life. I get much more satisfaction tricking those fish with an artificial lure. Fishing with artificial lures allows us to fish from very shallow water to very deep water and gives us the opportunity to move around and chase fish and see the lake and the natural surroundings. Artificial lures catch big fish! Cast out, set the hook and hang on!!
Lake Tawakoni Fishing Guide Cliff Thornton targets Striper and White Bass year round on this East Texas impoundment. Tawakoni Striper Guide Cliff Thornton puts trophy Striped Bass in the net!
Arkansas, USA | Fishing Charter / Guide
We feel that we can make things happen, rather than make excuses. We work all up and down the White River with all the resorts and can pick people up on the bank in front of their cabin or public boat ramp. We also have split days. Split days is where large families want to cut the cost in half, we will fish till lunch time, cook lunch, then others go fish after lunch. Because of that, 5 can catch enough fish to feed 15 for lunch and a new 5 go fish after lunch. (This way they only pay for five fishing.) We also have people who want to put their vacation in our hands, so we do overnight camping trips. During these trips, we rent cabins on the river and fish all day then a chef will prepare supper. Supper usually consists of a Porterhouse steak with all the trimmings. We also provide breakfast the next morning. For lunch, you can eat the sandwich box lunch or pay an extra $20 for the super Shore lunch.
We also offer a long distance trip where we can cover 30 to 50 miles in one 8-hour day to see more river. This means you will be motoring more than fishing but nature enthusiasts like to keep moving, where fishermen just usually like to try and catch numerous or larger fish. Some people have caught as many as 60 each!
Our trips offer a lifetime of memories never to be forgotten what ever people ask, we can usually help them achieve their goals. If it’s your first visit we usually ask for a fifty percent deposit. We furnish everything you need except your fishing license and tooth brush. Our pricing includes everything. We are still among the lowest priced White River Fishing Business with the best equipment and professional guides. We can Provide Shuttle services from the 2 local airports.
Prices and other information can be found on our website or please feel free to contact us.

Here are the top three things customers talk about with Oak Lake Lodge:
- the fishing
- the food
- and the hospitality
We promise you the following at our Lodge:
- abundant walleye, smallmouth bass, and northern pike
- tasty home-made meals in our main lodge
- service with attention to detail
- clean and comfortable accommodations
- well-organized trips
- professionalism and expertise at every corner
Our team cares and that caring is displayed in paying attention to the details of your vacation so you can enjoy your fly-in fishing trip to Ontario, Canada.
The English River System, in upper northwestern Ontario, is filled with an abundance of food and nutrients for the walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and muskie that live in the lakes.
The waterfalls surrounding our lake make boat access impossible, keeping out adventurous weekend fishermen. And to be honest, if there were roads to Oak Lake, the drive would be too far.
View Oak Lake Lodge on Google Maps where we have entered our longitude and latitude so you can get a true sense of our location. Oak Lake is big and remote and filled with fish. Visit our lodge or outpost and be guaranteed great fishing.
Our remote Canadian wilderness fly-in fishing lodge is the only lodge on all of Oak Lake. This is an oxygen-rich lake, fed by a provincially protected-waterway called the English River System.
There is no industry at all along any of the river systems that flow into Oak Lake. You will experience a pristine environment and catch healthy fish from a clean river system.
Our lodge provides the comforts of home. We are a small lodge, a boutique lodge, that caters to no more than 32 guests at a time.
Oak Lake Lodge is also a catch and release lake which is another reason our fish populations are so high. You’ll be astounded by the number of fish you can catch in a Canadian lake that is secluded, without road access, and deep in the majestic and life-giving Canadian boreal forest.
Even though we are a catch and release lake, we do cook your morning walleye catch as part of a special “shore lunch” all guests love.
All these factors ensure that you will catch an abundance of fish on your fishing trip to Ontario, Canada.
Oak Lake Lodge provides 16 foot Lund Rebel boats for guests and 17.5 foot Lund Outfitters for guests who hire a guide. All boats are equipped with Yamaha four stroke motors, flat floors and comfortable pedestal seats.
Our docks are maintained and in great condition with slip-resistant material for your protection.
A Recap: What is included in a Lodge trip?
- flight from Vermilion Bay to our private lake on a float plane
- three meals a day including the popular shore lunch experience
- 100% guaranteed excellent fishing. Our lake is fly-in only meaning weekend fishermen cannot access the lake.
- daily maid service to tidy your cottage
- morning coffee delivery before breakfast
- modern amenities – hot showers, filtered water, linens, towels, flush toilets, fridge, private screened in porches, private living rooms, wood burning stoves, and more
