Highly experienced in all facets of game fishing – Giant Black Marlin Fishing heavy tackle, Sport & Game Fishing light tackle and Blue Water Fly Fishing bluewater fly, with tackle of the highest standard including custom built Jack Erskine 130lbs rods matched with Penn International 130lb Reels – all with drags customized by Jack Erskine.   Light tackle equipment consists of the highest quality Penn & Shimano TLD Reels with matching custom Jack Erskine light tackle rods in all line classes.    Saltwater fly tackle includes Penn fly rods & reels.

Giant Black Marlin charters are available from  mid September right through to mid  December, followed by Blue Marlin Fishing through to April.    The rest of the year providing good Light and Medium tackle fishing for species including juvenile black marlin, sailfish, Spanish mackerel, mahi mahi and tunas.

With more than 30 years Sea angling experience in hand and having won several national & international sea angling competitions, Pat Condon offers his clients the wealth of his angling skills as part of their experience. Pat is also distinguished with being an ex Irish team captain and holds more than 20 Irish specimens to his name.

As a boat skipper he brings with him more than 10 years practical experience in boat handling. Sea angling is excellent within the confines of Cork harbour. Anglers can fish in cork harbour many reefs near the harbour for ling, cod, conger eel, pollack and coalfish. Shark fishing off Cork Harbour is from mid June to September. Even if the weather is poor you can fish within Cork harbour itself, the second largest natural harbour in the world, for many of the species mentioned above along with species such as bass, blonde ray and thorn back ray, plaice and dabs.

Anglers come from far and near to fish the rich fishing grounds off this section of the Cork Coast. “Osprey” is a purpose built Angling charter vessel and fully equipped to cater for the needs of the modern Sea angler. We feel that we can make things happen, rather than make excuses. We work all up and down the White River with all the resorts and can pick people up on the bank in front of their cabin or public boat ramp. We also have split days. Split days is where large families want to cut the cost in half, we will fish till lunch time, cook lunch, then others go fish after lunch. Because of that, 5 can catch enough fish to feed 15 for lunch and a new 5 go fish after lunch. (This way they only pay for five fishing.) We also have people who want to put their vacation in our hands, so we do overnight camping trips. During these trips, we rent cabins on the river and fish all day then a chef will prepare supper. Supper usually consists of a Porterhouse steak with all the trimmings. We also provide breakfast the next morning. For lunch, you can eat the sandwich box lunch or pay an extra $20 for the super Shore lunch.

We also offer a long distance trip where we can cover 30 to 50 miles in one 8-hour day to see more river. This means you will be motoring more than fishing but nature enthusiasts like to keep moving, where fishermen just usually like to try and catch numerous or larger fish. Some people have caught as many as 60 each!

Our trips offer a lifetime of memories never to be forgotten what ever people ask, we can usually help them achieve their goals. If it’s your first visit we usually ask for a fifty percent deposit. We furnish everything you need except your fishing license and tooth brush.
