Pro Angler Tip #3 Q&A with Cody Kelley

iClickFishing.com has the honor of asking different questions to professional anglers in relation to tips and / or advise for fishing different types of fish, in different locations and conditions.

Today’s question is with Professional Angler Cody Kelley (CodyKelleyFishing.com) a FLW Tournament Champion.

Question: What do you do to best prepare for fishing tournament?

Answer: Pre tournament research is huge for me. Especially if you don’t have a ton of experience on the body of water. I like to have several different paper maps to reference. Satellite images are some of the most valuable resources as they can help show shallow underwater targets like stumps and road beds. Lastly, I like to look back on old televised events on that lake. Sometimes you can pick up a few techniques and patterns that are common to that area.

A big thank you to this professional angler for participating in today’s Q&A.
