Fishing Report from Fishing The Rogue.
February 25, 2018 The rivers have been low and clear for a few weeks and, finally, we have had some winter like weather and will see a rise in the south Umpqua, the Rogue and its tributaries over the next week or more. The increase in river levels will help fresh winter steelhead move upstream and make it possible to fish the south Umpqua again from a drift boat.
If you have been waiting to fish for winter steelhead on the south Umpqua, the next few weeks will be the time. The Rogue will be coming into prime winter steelhead season by next month, with April being one of the better months to fish the Rogue.
