Fishing Report from Fishing The Rogue.

July 31, 2017 Southern Oregon Fishing Report for the upper Rogue river, Shady Cove-Medford Oregon.
As I promised to report, Fall Chinook king salmon have arrived in the upper Rogue!
As you can see from our photos salmon and summer steelhead are thick in the upper river right now and the past few days have proved to be some exciting combination fishing.
Fishing the Rogue river is what we do and now is the time! August and September are some of the very best fishing months on the Rogue.
In the past, the Rogue river had distinctive runs of spring salmon and fall salmon, but we have noticed that in the past few years, since the removal of the dams, the 2 seasons seem to overlap. We are still catching spring salmon and since the river temperature is staying quite cold due to higher river levels, the spring fish are still fresh and great for eating. With the addition of fall salmon, one of the best runs of fish on the Rogue, and summer steelhead…great river days are ahead.
