Bass Fishing Tips & Tactics was created for two basic reasons:

  1. To fulfill a promise I made to myself long ago to write about all the things I learned about bass and bass fishing over the years, and
  2. To share that accumulated knowledge and provide helpful insight to other interested fisher-people!

Striped Bass Sportfishing Charters

Catch and release sportfishing charters targeting BIG STRIPERS with live bait!  Private half day inshore saltwater fishing trips for groups of 1-3 people.  Coast of Maine fishing charters specializing in private fishing charters for Striped Bass.  Anglers target Maine’s top inshore saltwater game fish using light tackle spinning gear and live bait.  We participate in striped bass conservation programs that will document your catch for you while helping scientists working on striped bass research projects.   Please contact us for up to date fishing reports and realistic catch expectations.

Family Mackerel Fishing Trips

We also offer Maine Fishing Charters for Kids targeting Atlantic Mackerel around the inshore islands in Casco Bay. Bring your family out for a fun and relaxing time fishing in the bay. These feisty fish run in schools and it is not uncommon to have several mackerel on the line at one time! This trip has some amazing scenery for any non-fishing member of the family. We pass by islands, forts and lighthouses on our way to the different mackerel fishing grounds. If you keep your eyes alert you might spot harbor seals, harbor porpoise, bald eagles and diving osprey! Family mackerel fishing trips are 2 hours.
